Master of Education
Degree Description The Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) is designed to further develop the skills of classroom teachers. Development of practical approaches to educational challenges is a major goal of the program. Completion of 36 semester hours at the graduate level is required for graduation. A core program, consisting of 10 courses and 30 semester hours, will be offered in sequence to cohorts of professionals. Up to six semester hours of graduate courses in education may be transferred from regionally accredited institutions. Courses may be used to renew an Indiana license. Professionalization of a license requires completion of the master's degree and semester hours in specific academic disciplines.
