Intended to prepare managers as both economic and ethical leaders, the MBA program emphasizes the integration and application of knowledge. Students connect with business; the connection deepens and broadens as their programs proceed. New knowledge, skills, and tools quickly form the basis of leadership in business decision-making. To that end, the class structure deals with both the qualitative and quantitative skills required of today's managers. The MBA program emphasizes the acquisition of technical management skills within a peer group or management team context. Each course requires the adoption of an individual and cooperative approach to problem solving. Master of Business Administration – AccountingDegree Description The Master of Business Administration in Accounting (MBA-ACC) is a 42-credit hour degree designed to meet the worldwide need for knowledgeable, principle-centered leadership of organizations. Intended to prepare managers as both economic and ethical leaders, the MBA program emphasizes the integration and application of knowledge. Master of Business Administration – HealthcareDegree Description The Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management (MBA-HC) is a 42-credit hour degree designed to meet the worldwide need for knowledgeable, principle-centered leadership of organizations. Intended to prepare managers as both economic and ethical leaders, the MBA program emphasizes the integration and application of knowledge. Students connect with business; the connection deepens and broadens as their programs proceed. New knowledge, skills, and tools quickly form the basis of leadership in business decision-making. To that end, the class structure deals with both the qualitative and quantitative skills required of today's managers. The MBA in Health Care Management emphasizes the acquisition of technical management skills within a peer group or management team context. Courses include Health Care Systems, Health Care Policy, Health Care Finance, and Issues in Health Care. Master of EducationDegree Description The Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) is designed to further develop the skills of classroom teachers. Development of practical approaches to educational challenges is a major goal of the program. Completion of 36 semester hours at the graduate level is required for graduation. A core program, consisting of 10 courses and 30 semester hours, will be offered in sequence to cohorts of professionals. Up to six semester hours of graduate courses in education may be transferred from regionally accredited institutions. Courses may be used to renew an Indiana license. Professionalization of a license requires completion of the master's degree and semester hours in specific academic disciplines. Students should seek the counsel of their advisor if they are planning to professionalize their license. The program is designed to provide maximum convenience to the student; courses are scheduled on Saturdays. Master of Science in ManagementDegree Description The Master of Science with a major in Management (MSM) program is a 36-hour graduate program designed to develop or enhance the personal and technical management skills necessary for more effective functioning within the administrative arena in private business and public agencies. The curriculum is organized around the theme of "leadership," and courses offered expand on five essential elements. Be a person of honesty and integrity. Understand the workings of the world both within and outside the organization. Envision the direction toward which the organization or group should move. Decide between any number of options how to solve problems and achieve goals. Mobilize individuals to work together toward a common end. The degree program is designed to enable students to apply increasingly sophisticated theoretical concepts to the solution of practical management problems. |
